Calendar days
Every day on the calendar, including weekends and holidays. Most consumer deadlines — visa stays, return windows ("30-day returns"), age calculations — use calendar days unless stated otherwise.
Business days
Monday to Friday only, usually excluding public holidays in the relevant country. Banks, courts, shipping carriers and government processing times ("5–7 business days") use business days because offices are closed on weekends.
